Message From Principal
Bienvenidos WLA Family,
It is my honor and privilege to serve as the principal of World Language Academy. I am a seasoned educator with experiences in grades K-8th in the regular and gifted classrooms. I have also served as the math content specialist for Hall County and Assistant Principal of McEver Arts Academy and Cherokee Bluff Middle School. Although I am a dedicated educator, I am wife to Dave and mom to Carragan and Brock who attended World Language Academy.
I am excited about being back at World Language Academy. World Language Academy has been an integral part of my life as a parent and a teacher since its inception 11 years ago. As a mom and teacher, I have witnessed firsthand the opportunities afforded by learning a second language. Being able to be a part of a community with people from so many different cultures gives our students a different perspective of our world unlike they experience at any other school. The combination of the cultural awareness and learning a second language prepares our children to enter doors that will be open for them.
Our vision at WLA is for our students to become bi-lingual, bi-literate and caring multi-cultural citizens. I am honored to have this opportunity to serve as the principal and be a part of this life changing experience.
